On June 28, 1969, a police raid at the Stonewall Inn led to a series of riots by the harassed LGBT community. The Pride month, celebrated every June, commemorates this day but also reminds us what more still needs to be done.
With this in mind, the horrible shooting at a popular gay nightclub yesterday in Orlando becomes – if that is possible – even more tragic. Whether the motive was homophobia or pseudo-religious, in both cases it was an attack against humanity. Against you and me.
Let’s fight intolerance and celebrate diversity. Snap as many pictures of rainbows (whatever kind of) and share it with the world! Because:
“Your true colors are beautiful, like a rainbow”
